The bulk feeding system increases the productivity of
equipment.
As shown below, we will take the case of continuously mounting 100,000
pieces of "0402C"-size chip components. The number of times that
preparation work is necessary for mounting 100,000 pieces is shown
below. |

Taping packaging |
: |
10 times |
(10,000 pieces/reel x 10 times) |

Bulk packaging |
: |
2 times |
(50,000 pieces/case x 2 times) |

During actual production processing, a type of electronic components
are not mounted continuously. On the other hand, several types of
electronic components are mounted in combination to produce equipment. |
 |
Reducing
the number of times chip mounters must be stopped |
 |
 |
| Some time for preparation
work (3 min.) is required to supply the electronic components. If the
mounter is stopped during the preparation work, the mounter must remain
stopped for 45 minutes with taping packaging, and for 12 minutes with
bulk packaging. Using the bulk feeding system reduces the amount of
time the mounter must be stopped. |
 |
Easy
component supply work |
 |
 |
| When using the bulk
feeding system, supplying electronic components only requires that the
bulk case be coupled with the feeder and that the shutter be opened.
Troublesome tape rewinding work is not required. |
 |
Increasing
the productivity of mounters |
 |
 |
| As the operating speed of
the mounter increases, the percentage of time spent on preparation work
out of total production time also increases. The bulk feeding system
enables shorter preparation time and easier handling, thus enabling
high-speed mounters to operate at their optimum capabilities. |
