| Digital cameras are becoming more popular and advanced.
Image stabilization seems to be one of the strongest selling points for
digital cameras lately. Your camera produces a clear image even though
your hand shook when the shutter was clicked. The secret to this trick
is the gyro sensor that takes advantage of piezoelectric ceramics. It detects "Coriolis
force" caused by a motion in a different angle from the vibration
of the piezoelectric element, so that the lens or CCD is moved to cancel
the jolting motion of your hand. This technology is also applied for image
stabilization of video cameras, and position detection of car navigation
systems. |
