Outline of the Factory
Yasu Plant is a relatively new plant which began its operation in 1987 at Yasu-shi, Shiga Prefecture. It conducts leading edge R&D for areas such as material development, development of production technology, semiconductors and thin-layer ultra-fine processing technology. Numerous research buildings and recreation facilities are located at its vast 270,000m2 property. This plant also aims at reduction of greenhouse gas emission and industrial waste fluid by incorporating the co-generation system as well as the latest industrial waste fluid reduction system.
