Research and Development of Production technology, Electronic Materials, and Thin Film Processing Technology

Yasu Plant is a relatively new plant which began its operation in 1987 at Yasu-shi, Shiga Prefecture. It conducts leading edge R&D for areas such as material development, development of production technology, semiconductors and thin-layer ultra-fine processing technology. Numerous research buildings and recreation facilities are located at its vast 270,000m² property. This plant also aims at reduction of greenhouse gas emission and industrial waste fluid by incorporating the co-generation system as well as the latest industrial waste fluid reduction system.
