Outline of the Factory
Yokaichi Plant is a monumental plant that started operating in 1962 at Higashiomi-shi, Shiga Prefecture. It is one of the largest ceramics processing plants in the world. Processes from mixing and forming to firing take place at this plant. It is also known to be an environmentally friendly plant promoting a tree-planting project.
