Through our manufacturing, we generate a considerable amount of waste including carbon dioxide emissions, which is harming the natural environment. At Toyama Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., we wondered if there was something we could do to mitigate the impact. Now we are registered with Toyama Prefecture’s “Toyama Forestation Movement.” We have borrowed mountain forests in the outskirts of town and are taking an active part in bringing back the forest from dieback due to ambrosia beetle infestation and felling from loggers. Seven years have passed since we began and now our tree planting in the fostered mountain forests have started to take shape.
