    PTC Thermistors (POSISTOR) FAQQ[PRG Series] Is soldering with soldering iron of PRG series possible? What are the conditions?

    A

    If soldering using a soldering iron is unavoidable, do not overload the PTC thermistor.
    After sufficient preheating (150°C for 1 to 2 minutes.), use a trowel with a tip of φ3mm or less and 30W or less, and solder within 5 seconds under the specified temperature. Use a flux of 0.1wt% or less of halogenated substances. Also, please do not touch the ceramic body directly with the tip.
    Nominal temperature: 280°C for PRG18**MM1RB, PRG21**MM1RK, 350°C for others.
