"Advanced Electronics Leads Smart Life (our cutting-edge electronics opens up a smart lifestyle) " is the theme of the Murata booth this year. Through the exhibition and demonstration of Murata products, we are going to introduce highly advanced electronic components that will play an active role in the smart lifestyle of the future.

The product exhibition area is divided into three zones, namely, Mobile Communication Zone, Smart Home/Office Zone, and Automotive Electronics Zone. In each zone, Murata will exhibit and present demonstrations of various cutting-edge electronic components that contribute to realizing a smart lifestyle.

We will also stage demonstrations of our bicycle-type robot "MURATA BOY TypeECO." At the "International Passive Components Technology & Market Development Forum 2012 (PCF2012) " public conference, which will be held during this China Hi-Tech Fair, Murata will take the podium twice to present lectures.

Mobile Communication Zone Summary

In the Mobile Communication Zone, Murata will introduce products that contribute to further size reduction and higher functionality of the latest mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. We will exhibit the world's smallest 0201-size min (0.25 mm x 0.125 mm) capacitors, optical interfaces that enable contactless input, and field-coupled wireless power transmission systems that can charge mobile devices wirelessly. In addition to these products, we will introduce cutting-edge electronic components that perform core functions in various smartphones and tablet computers, for example, electric double-layer capacitors used as power sources for LED flash units.

Smart Home/Office Zone Summary

In the Smart Home/Office Zone, Murata will offer visitors a firsthand experience of the world of the Internet of Things (IOT) that uses Murata's sensor and wireless communications technologies. We will provide a demonstration of wireless control of various electronic devices using the smart home gateway. We will also exhibit communication modules such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth^® Smart module, RFID tags, digital power supply for LED lighting, ionizers, and other products.

Automotive Electronics Zone Summary

Murata will introduce the company's gyro combo sensors and acceleration sensors that make the most of MEMS technology, and also components that improve the reliability of automobiles, such as high-capacitance automotive ceramic capacitors.

Murata will present lectures on two topics at the International Passive Components Technology & Market Development Forum 2012 (PCF2012) .
