Summary

EMC JAPAN 2014

Murata will present a variety of noise-reduction solutions for the latest applications.

Solutions for wireless power supplies for automotive applications

Measures will be presented for dealing with reduced reception sensitivity and increased emissions due to noise.

Solutions for UHS-II (high-speed differential signal transfer)

"Self-poisoning" is generated by even a very weak noise signal, and measures will be presented for dealing with the possible adverse effects of such “self-poisoning” on the wireless communication circuits of mobile devices.

In addition to the above, a wide variety of solutions will be presented, with the focus on automotive applications such as in-vehicle Ethernet and DC motors.

ENERGY HARVESTING 2014

A variety of energy harvesting elements capable of converting minute quantities of ambient energy into electricity will be exhibited, along with sensor networks employing such elements.

Piezoelectric power-generating devices

These battery-less switches require no wires and incorporate a piezoelectric element that turns the lights on and off by utilizing the energy generated when a button is pressed. The light switches will be featured in a demonstration along with newly developed rotary switches and slide panels.

In addition, a demonstration will show the use of solar power devices and monolithic thermoelectric conversion elements in a system combining sensors and wireless communication modules.

POWER SYSTEM JAPAN 2014

For the first time, Murata will exhibit its micro DC-DC converter products designed to help make electronic equipment more compact and highly functional.
The power inductor incorporates a multilayer ferrite substrate that makes possible an ultracompact size of 2.5 × 2.0 × 1.1mm and low noise characteristics. The product lineup includes voltage step-up- and step-down-type units as well as a range of sizes.

DESIGN SUPPORT SYSTEM 2014

Murata will exhibit its "Femtet®" CAE software for the first time at TECHNO-FRONTIER.
This finite element method analysis system covers a wide range of functions, including analysis of heat conduction, voltage, and sound waves, in addition to electrodynamic analysis of electric fields, magnetic fields, and electromagnetic waves. The software is user-friendly and provides an excellent cost-to-performance ratio. Visitors to the Murata booth will be able to try for themselves using Femtet® for analysis.
