Summary

Wearable devices continue to spread at an accelerating pace. At this year's event, Murata will exhibit high-function electronic components that are essential in making devices more compact. We will, for example, run proof of concept (PoC) tests (simple tests designed to demonstrate the feasibility of a new concept or principle) that include a joint project with a leading global design and engineering company.

Main exhibits

PoC

Aricent ADAPT Wearable Platform
Aricent is a leading design and engineering services company that has developed a modular device innovation platform (ADAPT) for low-voltage, high-function wearable devices. For the first time in Japan, we will exhibit a PoC evaluation board with Murata light sensors (for pulse detection), barometric pressure sensors (for elevation detection), thermistors (temperature detection), and other sensors on ADAPT.

Other

Murata will exhibit ultra-small passive components that help to reduce wearable size.
