Chattering refers to fast repetitive switching between the on and off states under constant conditions. AMR sensors normally do not have this problem. However, if the power supply voltage is adjusted using an external resistor or if no capacitors are available in the vicinity, they can be prevented from being switched due to a drop in voltage that may occur the moment the internal intermittent sampling consumes a large current. Use care to prevent this from happening. If it occurs at the magnetic flux density that barely switches on the AMR sensor, the sensor can behave in the same manner as if it were chattering.
