New MEDA location

Texas location houses some of the company’s fastest-growing segments

Murata Americas announced its expanded operations at an open house event on January 26. Located in Carrollton, TX, the 28,000 square foot facility will house 130 employees. The strengthening of various internal divisions in the region necessitated the decision to bring employees together in a new location that will accelerate collaboration and prepare the company for future growth.

“Murata’s Texas operation will be a strategic hub that supports our long-term plan for continued growth. It will house the RF Product Department, Murata Energy Solutions Americas, Murata North America’s Strategic Marketing and Texas Sales teams, the Wireless Business Development team, and other future associates. Needless to say, this opening is very exciting as it underscores the tremendous growth opportunities we see on many, many levels,” said David Kirk, President and CEO, Murata Americas.

In planning the space, Murata focused on design elements that enhance the business and foster collaboration – features like a network operations center (NOC) and demo wall that showcases the Energy Solutions offerings, a configurable training room, and an employee lounge area with scribble walls for impromptu meetings and brainstorming sessions. Additionally, the expansion team created three separate laboratories for component, module, and solutions development, Quality and Reliability Assurance, and test and measurement functions. The intent was to make the entire facility a collaborative and inspiring experience for employees, customers, and partners alike.
