Caring for Rich Local Nature and Strengthening Bonds with the Local Community
Hakusan City in Ishikawa Pref. boasts rich nature marked by Mt. Hakusan, Tedori River, and the Sea of Japan.
For more than 30 years, Kanazawa Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (KMM) has been operating in this rural city where it was first founded.
Trees such as cherries and camellias as well as hydrangeas, the municipal flowers of the former Tsurugi Town, are planted around the plant so that local people can enjoy seasonal beauty throughout the year.
Apple trees taken over from the apple orchard that existed when the plant was first opened are also grown at the site. Every autumn, they bear bright red fruit. Some of the apples are presented to nearby nursing homes, while KMM employees and family members are invited to enjoy harvesting them.
We at KMM will continue to develop greening activities as part of our commitment to the local community.
