AMR Sensors FAQ

Characteristics

How are they different from lead switches?

Lead switches have mechanical contacts. These contacts not only have limited service life, but make reed switches vulnerable to impact and vibration. Relatively large size is another drawback.
By contrast, AMR sensors have a circuit for the switch. For operation, they need power supplies and therefore consume currents.
