Overview
Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will establish the New Delhi branch of Murata Electronics (India) Private Limited and operations will commence from October 3, 2011.
Background
We will expand our sales channels by establishing a sales company and commencing a sales agency business in the major southern city of Chennai in October 2011, as an initiative to develop emerging markets. However, by establishing the branch office in the Indian capital of New Delhi on October 1, 2011, we will conduct sales to major customers in India and develop marketing activities from our two southern and northern sales bases.
Since industrial areas are concentrated around the New Delhi suburbs of Gurgaon and Noida, many of the head office functions of our major customers are located in these areas and it is anticipated that production, research and development centered on Japanese companies will be established, we have therefore determined our local support system needs to be enhanced.
