Murata sponsors Bath Rugby's online TV channel

28/01/2009

Fleet, UK: Murata is sponsoring Bath Rugby TV, the online TV channel that features exclusive interviews with Bath Rugby's players and staff. BRTV gives fans unprecedented access to all of those behind the scenes at Bath Rugby, including footage of players and coaches that other media simply do not have access to. BRTV has followed the team to away trips, training camps, player’s homes and even watched Nick Abendanon strip off for charity! Streaming worldwide, Bath Rugby TV can be enjoyed in almost every country in the world and fans can see their favourite players up close and personal on a regular basis – with all the bloopers and hilarity that goes along with it. Bath Rugby TV is available at www.bathrugby.com/tv

"Murata is very proud to be sponsoring both innovation in technology and excellence in sport," comments Dick Oram, European Director and Head of PR for Murata. "Both Murata and Bath Rugby are proven leaders in their respective fields of play. We are both proud and thrilled to be associated with Bath Rugby and we wish them every success this season."

Bath Rugby were the first Guinness Premiership club to launch online TV in November 2007 and have since been followed by Bristol Rugby and Saracens. Since the launch, which included an exclusive interview with Rugby World Cup winner Butch James, Bath Rugby TV (BRTV) now regularly gets 5000 hits per feature and runs at least two new features each week.
