About the impact of Typhoon Jebi on Murata’s business operations

We would like to express our most sincere condolences to everyone in the affected area, and wish for the swift recovery from Typhoon Jebi.

Please find below information concerning the impact of the typhoon on Murata’s business operations (as of 3 PM, September 5, 2018)

1. Impact on Headquarters, branch offices and production plants

We confirm that there was no damage on our employees or facilities by the typhoon, although some of our plants were on the typhoon track. There is no impact on production planning of our products.

2. Impact on shipments

We use Kansai International Airport as our main export base. As the airport has been closed due to the typhoon, we’re planning to use some other main airports in Japan as an alternative shipping route to export products outside of Japan.
