    Summary

    Under the themes “Sensing,” “Wireless,” and “Compactness,” Murata will present electronic components and solutions that contribute to the realization of new medical and healthcare devices.

    Exhibition highlights

    •Wireless bed sensors

    By equipping the bed with sensor nodes, consisting of a MEMS sensor and a wireless communication module, it is possible to detect minute vibrations transferred from the patient to the bed. The wireless communication module transmits data wirelessly, allowing remote monitoring by a nursing facility or hospital.

    •RFID device (MAGICSTRAP®) for specimen tubes with automatic identification support 

    An RFID device that functions as a near-field communication module can be mounted on each specimen tube, allowing identification of a large number of specimen tubes within a short time and improving the efficiency of history checking.

    • Also featured will be small and thin electronic components that enable more compact medical devices, wireless communication modules with enhanced convenience features, and sensors of various types.
