AMR Sensors FAQ

Operating Circuit

What is internal sampling?

Some AMR sensors have internal sampling control function to reduce the level of current consumption. Continuous flow of the current through the magnetoresistive element results in the current consumption of a few mA. In order to reduce it down to the μA range, the intermittent control adjusts the timing of this current flow through this element.. As a long intermittent cycle may give a negative effect in correctly performing the Hi / Lo signal output, in case of using a fast-moving magnet AMR sensor shall require a suitable response cycle.
