Overview

Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has released a component model of a multilayer ceramic capacitor and high-frequency inductor that can be used for tuning and optimization calculations of circuit element values in electric circuit analysis using NI AWR Software (*1).

It has been posted on the Design Tool page on our website since August 2018.

Background

We provide model libraries for simulation of our electronic parts used for electric circuit design. As a result of upgrading and expanding the data, we are now able to provide large-scale data including 20,000 part numbers for multilayer ceramic capacitors and 4,000 part numbers for high frequency inductors. However, while the options of parts have increased, the parts data size has become enormous, resulting in more effort and time required to find an appropriate part.

This time we have developed a component model with a few selectable part numbers together with National Instrument. This component model can utilize the functions of tuning and optimization calculations of the circuit element values installed in NI AWR Software. We look forward to helping our customers’ design process more efficiently.
