The foundation of Murata's development is based on the discovery of a ceramic material called barium titanate. Since then, we have consistently paid attention to materials, and repeated the research and development based on integrating production from materials to products.
Murata has accumulated a unique know-how in regards to materials, such as the development of metallic materials for the main materials, additives, mixing solvents, and electrodes, the processing of materials and a powder processing technology that controls the grain size of these materials. New products can also be developed by integrating the materials, processing technology, design and production technology.
When tackling new technology, integrated production allows for the establishment of the most efficient measures, and the accumulated know-how is an asset of Murata's research and development.
