Murata Icon XFeatures

  1. Since precious metals (Palladium) are not used, a long-term stable supply is possible.
  2. The electrical characteristics and environmental resistances are equivalent to previous products.
  3. The same land pattern as previous products allow the component to be replaced without changing the design of a board.

Why is the internal electrode material changing from palladium to nickel?
A1 This is to prevent potential supply risks and price increases, by changing the material from the precious metal palladium to nickel.

When replacing a previous product , is it necessary to reconduct an IC matching evaluation?

It is not necessary. However, when changing the IC and or board layout, we recommend another IC matching evaluation be conducted.

When replacing a previous product, is it necessary to change the land pattern?

It is not necessary unless the previous product falls under the CSCTE_V or CSTCE_V_A series. See below for changes.
