AMR Sensors FAQ

Operating Circuit

What is internal sampling?

Some AMR sensors internal sampling control to reduce consumption current. Continual flow of current through the magnetoresistive element also results in a consumption current in a few mA. To keep it down to the μA range, the intermittent control adjusts the timing for passing current through this element. A long intermittent cycle may prevent the sensor from registering the H or L level correctly. A fast-moving magnet requires an AMR sensor with a suitable response frequency.
