Infrared Sensors FAQ

Operating Circuit

How much is consumption current of Pyroelectric infrared sensor ?

Consumption current is determined by source voltage and source resistance. In case of source voltage is 1.0V and source resistance is 4.7kΩ, Consumption current would be about 30μA. When source resistance value gets lower, output impedance from element is decreased and power consumption is increased. Conversely source resistance value gets larger, output impedance from element is increased and power consumption is decreased.
