Ceramic Capacitors FAQQWhat is the difference between Automotive Grade (RCE, RHE) and standard grade (RDE) capacitors?

A

Applications

The RCE Series, RHE Series, which has higher reliability than the standard RDE, is recommended for life-critical applications, such as automotive (driving, turning, stopping, safety equipment). RDE series MLCCs for general electronic equipment may be used for such applications as information equipment such as car navigation systems, entertainment equipment such as car audio systems, and body control equipment such as windshield wipers and power windows, but for applications requiring products that meet the AEC-Q200 standard, make sure to use RCE series MLCCs.

Specification (Test condition)

There are some differences between the RCE Series, RHE Series and RDE series, not only in their applications but also in terms of specification (test condition). The following high reliability test conditions are applied to RCE Series, RHE Series as the high reliability is required for automotive application.Other special specifications (test conditions) are available for certain products, so please contact us through the purchase route.
