What are Decay time?

Generally, a “Decay time” refers to a sound generated by the oscillator during damped oscillation after the drive signal is switched off. For practical purposes, the decay time of an ultrasonic sensor is defined as the time it takes the oscillator to be damped to a certain reference voltage.
