Murata and REACH Regulation

REACH is the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances.
The REACH Regulation became effective in Europe on July 1st, 2007.
Murata has made the necessary preparations to comply with the REACH Regulation.

Registration

The REACH Regulation has different requirements for "Chemicals and Preparations" and "Articles". All of the products promoted by this website are articles that do not intentionally discharge any substances and are therefore exempt from the obligation to register the substances [Article 7(1)b].

Information on Substances (SVHC) in Murata Articles

The identification of a substance as a Substance of Very High Concern, and its inclusion in the Candidate List creates the duty to communicate the name of the products containing SVHC, and the name of the contained SVHC, to users of the products. It does not impose any restrictions on the use of the products, nor is it a substance ban.
