Power Products FAQ QMalfunctions occur depending on the equipment connecting to the powered device (PD).

Detection failures may occur depending on the grounding condition of the AC line of the PSE connected to the PD and the equipment connecting to the PD.
Therefore, we recommend using a 3-core cable to ground the AC line of the PSE and the equipment connecting to the PD.

Note: We have confirmed that the products starts up even with a 2-core cable. However, commercial power supply noise may be superimposed on the detection waveform and detection failures may occur.
