Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "Murata") has developed the MHM320 ionizer (hereinafter, "product"), a new product in the MHM3 DC input series. Mass production began in February 2022. Samples are also available.
The demand for air purifiers has increased in recent years, due to a heightened focus on maintaining health and hygiene. This has resulted in calls to enhance air purifier functionality and to add air improvement functionality to home appliances. In response, Murata has developed a product capable of high-efficient ion generation at low voltage.
Compared with Murata's MHM306 product, the new product is capable of greater ion and ozone generation*1, which should further increase the effect of functions such as air purification, sterilization, and odor elimination. The board used in the product is of the same size as other MHM3 series products and is also installed in the same location, allowing for simple replacement. It also uses the same pin assignment on the input connector as Murata's MHM305 and MHM306 products, allowing it to be used with existing equipment without any need to change the interface.
