Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “Murata”) has developed the “MHM332 type” ionizer (hereinafter, “this product”), a new product in the MHM3 series, a DC input series. Mass production has begun in March 2025. Samples can also be provided.
The demand for air purifiers has increased due to a heightened focus on maintaining health and hygiene. Due to the global spread of PM 2.5 (particulate matter), there is a strong demand for improved air purifiers as well as air purifier functionalities on for other home appliances.
In response, Murata has added this product to its lineup of products that efficiently generate ions at low voltages. This product has achieved an increase*1 of approximately 1.6 times in ion amount that affect air purification functions compared with Murata's existing “MHM305 type ionizer” by newly designing the high-voltage power supply. On the other hand, ozone generation is suppressed at the same level as our existing products.
This product shares the same board size, mounting position, and interface with our existing products, ensuring easy replacement if they are currently in use.
By unifying our high-voltage power supplies, we now offer shorter lead times from order placement to product delivery compared to existing products.
