NTC Thermistors FAQQ[NC* Series] Generally, the power consumption/rated power is listed for resistors, but why is it not listed for NTC thermistors?

A

Since the resistance of a thermistor varies greatly with temperature, the power consumption also varies greatly. In addition, the heat dissipation constant varies depending on the customer's mounting conditions, and the heat generation state differs even at the same power consumption. For this reason, it is difficult to specify the power consumption as in the case of resistors. Instead, it specifies the maximum voltage that can be applied to the thermistor. Refer to "Maximum Voltage Derating Curve Data" on the below side of the individual part number page for detailed data.
