The high-speed serial method is applied to camera image signal transmission in the industrial and automotive fields. Applying these wires enables power supply and control signal transmission to cameras. By optimizing parts such as inductors, which are set in the junction point between main wires and power supply wiring, and substrate designs, the image signal waveform and reflection are within the standard. This lecture provides descriptions concerning design optimization methods based on latest cases unique to RITA Electronics, Ltd. with the industrial image interface CoaXPress (CXP) as the main subject.

(2) For those interested in vehicle-mounted high-speed I/F and PoC as well as engineers engaged in noise suppression measures

PoC (Power over Coax) superimposes power supplies and signals to one coaxial cable, enabling simplification of wiring design and weight reduction of harnesses. Since PoC is applied to vehicle-mounted equipment of ADAS and surround view cameras, a high level of noise suppression measures is required. Therefore, we will introduce signal quality improvement and noise suppression measures related to SerDes signals used on PoC in this lecture.
