NTC Thermistors FAQQ[NC* Series] What precautions should I take when measuring the resistance of the NTC thermistor? And how much is appropriate current applied to NTC thermsiter?

A

NTC thermistors have a characteristic that the resistance value changes with temperature change. Therefore, it is important to minimize the fluctuation of the ambient temperature when measuring the resistance.
The following describes the points to reduce the fluctuation of the measurement environment temperature.

Point 1
Measure the resistance value so that you do not touch the device or board with your hands.
Point 2
Set up a thermometer to indicate the ambient temperature of the resistance measurement space.
Point 3
It is recommended that the measured current be less than or equal to the maximum operating current.

The following are precautions for measuring NTC thermistor resistance.
