AMR Sensors (Magnetic Switches)

Exploiting the magnetoresistive effect, AMR sensors have an IC to detect changes in the magnetic resistance of a magnetoresistive element affected by an external magnetic field.

Murata AMR sensors are used for cylinder position detection, smart meter, and open/close detection for equipment (e.g. video cameras, refrigerators, etc.). Murata braod lineup of AMR sensors come with different package sizes and sensitivity ranges.

Position/Rotation Detection
This series of versatile sensors can detect a broad range of magnetic movements - position sensing and rotation detection. The great diversity offers customer a choice of AMR sensors ideal for the conditions of their environment of use (e.g. temperatures, sensing movement , supply voltages, etc.).
Rotation Dectection
This series of AMR sensors features stable output characteristics. They are ideal for the precise detection of rotational displacements.
Applications:
AMR sensor is one of the best fits for its usage such as non-contact switches for mobile devices.

Pyroelectric Infrared Sensors

Pyroelectric infrared sensors detect infrared rays using the pyroelectric effect of pyroelectric ceramics, a kind of piezoelectric ceramics.

Murata Pyroelectric Infrared Sensors exhibit high sensitivity and reliable performance made possible by Murata's ceramic technology and Hybrid IC technique expertise developed over many years. Cost benefits and higher performance are realized with new infrared sensor element of improved material parameters and fabrication.

Ultrasonic Sensors

Ultrasonic sensors emit ultrasonics waves in the air that reflect off of objects. The reflected sound is then received by the sensor. This technology is used for detection of objects in burglar alarms and automatic doors as well as for range measurement in automotive parking assistance systems.

Using its unique piezoelectric ceramics manufacturing technology developed over many years, Murata has developed various types of ultrasonic sensors which are compact and yet have very high performance.
