AMR Sensors FAQ

Temperature characteristic

AMR sensors contain permalloy, a material whose sensitivity varies with a change in outside temperature. Generally permalloys exhibit higher sensitivity at lower temperatures, and lower sensitivity at higher temperatures.
Some AMR sensors integrate temperature compensation circuits that work to give the sensors higher sensitivity when the temperature is rising, and give the sensors lower sensitivity when the temperature is dropping.
