These sensors employ a two-beam system. The sensors consist of one light source, one optical path, two optical filters and one PIR sensor. These elements consist of only one component other than the optical filters. Therefore, there are no variations between the components and thus the measured values are stable.
These sensors calibrate automatically. Accordingly, there is almost no drift in the measured values and periodic manual calibration is not necessary.
