Communication generally refers to sending and receiving information. Communication can be done over a wire or wirelessly. Examples of each are provided below.
Wired communication: Cable TV, wired LAN, etc.
Wireless communication: Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, GPS, GLONASS, etc.
If contact is made with a person or object during communication, this will generate static electricity.
There are many cases where this static electricity travels to an IC and causes a malfunction.
A TVS diode can be used to prevent this issue with static electricity from occurring.
