    Regarding the differences between pyroelectric infrared sensors for indoor and outdoor applications, we also offer a lineup of sensor types with improved noise resistance performance. However, the effectiveness for malfunctions due to radio wave noise differs by circuit and substrate conditions, so they may not prove to be effective for all sets.
    First, check and see if they have an effect on problematic sets.

    If you are considering sensors for outdoor use

    We would ask that you refrain from using pyroelectric infrared sensors in locations where they are exposed to direct sunlight, but there are also examples of using the sensors outdoors by devising ways to prevent direct sunlight from hitting the sensor area (lens section). We recommend the use of the IRA-S230ST01/IRA-S220ST01A01 models which are resistant to temperature changes due to their internal structure.
