    The greatest feature of Murata microblower technology is the use of ceramics as the drive source. The structure is elaborately designed to function as an air pump using the ultrasonic vibrations of ceramics. The result is an extremely compact, thin, and silent air device. In general, microblowers fall into the piezoelectric pump category.

    Microblowers are small and lightweight air pumps (piezoelectric pumps) that achieve a high pressure and high flow rate. They can be used in various applications.
    The maximum pressure and maximum flow that can be acquired differs by the part number. Please select the part number suitable for your purpose.

    Features of microblowers

    Allow pumps to be used in quiet environments

    As the piezoelectric element vibrates in the ultrasonic band (20 kHz or more), it is inaudible to humans and thus extremely quiet
    For wearable device applications that do not restrict the daily lives of their users

    Small, thin, and lightweight, and thus suitable for carrying around
    Comfortable blowers (pumps) even when worn

    The pump drive unit has an extremely small amplitude (dozens of µm), so people do not feel vibrations even when the devices are worn and thus they are very comfortable
    Can also be used for sucking applications

    The device moves air in one direction, so it can also be used for sucking if used on the suction side
    Smooth supply with discharge without pulsation

    High-speed piezoelectric vibrations are used in the pump drive unit, so there is almost no pulsation in the discharged air and thus stable air discharge is possible

    High-speed piezoelectric vibrations are used, so the response from switch-on to discharge is quick

    Notes

    • A microblower is a device to suck / discharge air, and liquids cannot flushed directly. The body cannot be washed because it does not have a sealed structure, and has no waterproof function. Also, avoid using this product in environments with condensation.
    • Since the microblower sucks and discharges air, contaminants and dust in the air tend to accumulate inside the pump, and the contaminants and dust will influence the operation time. Use the microblower in a clean environment, or use a filter to remove at least submicron level of contaminants to prevent particles and dust from entering. (* The use of a filter does not guarantee suppression of the characteristics deterioration of the microblower.)
    • Particularly, the smoke from tobacco and mosquito-repellant incense, etc. have an influence on the life span of the product. Do not use the product in any smoky environment.
    • The microblower cannot be used for automobile applications (including accessories). Do not use this product for automobiles.
    • If the microblower is used for medical applications, murata requires a special contract to cover the use in the medical application to be agreed before start of mass production. Please contact us for details.
    • Do not handle the body of the microblower (including the nozzle, wiring, etc.) with bare hands.
    • Do not bend the terminals of the microblower.
